Autumn Fruit Crisp
Ingredients:
1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons cold margarine or butter, cut into small pieces
2 baking apples, peeled and sliced (1 pound)
1 pear, peeled and sliced (8 ounces)
Preheat oven to 350
°F. Coat 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in medium bowl; mix well. Cut in margarine with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Place apples and pears in baking dish; sprinkle oat mixture evenly over fruit. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until topping is lightly browned and fruit is tender.
Makes 6 servings (1/2 cup per serving)
