Question:
How much should my fiber intake be and how should I increase my fiber?
Answer:
The recommended minimum daily intake for fiber is 14 grams per 1,000 calories, or about 25 to 30 grams of fiber per day. To avoid gastrointestinal distress, when increasing fiber intake be sure to drink plenty of water and make the increase gradual.
